In September 1989, I started my apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic in the machine and systems engineering department at Kaltenbach.
During my apprenticeship, I worked in all departments and was able to learn and gain experience everywhere.
Before I moved to the work preparation department as a clerk in January 1999, I worked in production for about six years after my apprenticeship as a welder, driller and, if necessary, as a stand-in in all departments.
The variety of tasks and products meant that it was and still is never boring.
I have now been working for Kaltenbach for over 35 years and am proud to have contributed to its development.
In July 2021, I successfully completed my apprenticeship as an industrial clerk at Maschinenbau Kaltenbach GmbH. During my apprenticeship, I had the opportunity to work in production for three months to gain a comprehensive insight into our production and the entire product range.
After my apprenticeship, I was initially taken on as a temporary employee and have since become a permanent member of our purchasing team. I was also offered the opportunity to complete further training to become a business administrator, which I am currently pursuing at night school and expect to complete in spring 2025.
Maschinenbau Kaltenbach GmbH is particularly characterized by the large number of products and special projects, which always bring new challenges and make the work very varied. In addition, a family atmosphere is very important in our company. Kaltenbach has no rigid hierarchies, which means that I can not only work with colleagues, but also with friends.
The training at Kaltenbach is very varied and the working atmosphere is very pleasant.
I started my apprenticeship in 2017 and now work in assembly at Mototok. The company is very informal and I particularly appreciate the great team and colleagues. I still really enjoy my work today.

- Master craftsman training
- State-certified technician
- Department-specific further training
- DHBW studies
My career at Kaltenbach began with an apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic. I then studied industrial engineering at the DHBW and took over the project management for the introduction and support of our ERP system.
What I particularly like about my work here is the cooperation across all hierarchical levels. It’s not just about the work, but also about the friendships that develop within the company. I particularly appreciate the fact that potential is recognized and encouraged here. You are given the opportunity to constantly develop and take on new challenges. As a young graduate, I was able to take on responsibility so quickly and develop professionally.
I started at Kaltenbach as an apprentice industrial mechanic and developed step by step. After successfully completing my master craftsman training, I now work in project management and am also in direct contact with our customers.
What I particularly appreciate about Kaltenbach is the family atmosphere. The flexibility, the appreciation and the many opportunities for further development make working here special. The high level of vertical integration also provides many interesting insights.
I first came into contact with the Kaltenbach company in 2011. I had my first job here during my summer vacation. At that time, I couldn’t imagine working in a hall all year round, as I preferred to be out in nature. However, I quickly realized that the work, the company and my colleagues were exactly what I was looking for.
So I decided to do my apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic here in 2013. During my training, I was able to gain a lot of experience in assembly and expand my knowledge during various assembly assignments. In 2019, I completed my further training to become an industrial foreman in metal and then had the opportunity to take over the Mototok assembly department.
I am now a team leader and manage my department with 13 people. The opportunity to learn new things and develop myself further, as well as the good team spirit in the company, are the things that still inspire me every day.
I started my training as an industrial mechanic at Kaltenbach in 2005 and then worked in assembly and machining. Even then, I was able to gain my first experience in design. I later completed a two-year training course to become a machine technology technician and have been working as a design engineer ever since.
What I particularly like about my work is the variety – the wide range of products we manufacture here means it’s always exciting. At the same time, you quickly learn to take on responsibility and deal with unexpected challenges.
My journey at Kaltenbach began with an apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic. With a great deal of commitment and the desire to develop myself further, I was promoted to deputy team leader in machining production. Through in-service training to become a master craftsman, I was able to deepen my specialist knowledge and acquire new skills.
Today, I work as Head of Machining Production and enjoy the new challenges that each day brings. I particularly appreciate the high level of vertical integration that characterizes us as a company. I really enjoy working with my team and finding creative solutions. The exchange with my colleagues is always inspiring and I can look back on a great collaboration.
It’s a working environment that motivates me and gives me the opportunity to constantly develop.
I started my apprenticeship at Maschinenbau Kaltenbach in 2003 and after two years as a journeyman, I took on the role of team leader in the machining department. The master craftsman exam was an important step in my career. Unfortunately, I had a traffic accident in 2020 that had a major impact on my life and took me out of professional life for a while. I am incredibly grateful to the company for allowing me to return after my recovery in 2023. It could have turned out differently, and I know that I could count on the company’s support during this difficult time. The decision not to make me redundant shows how much Maschinenbau Kaltenbach values its employees. The family atmosphere and the flexibility offered to me here are not a given in today’s working world. I now work a reduced number of hours, which helps me to deal with my restrictions. I look forward to coming to work every day. It’s impressive to see how the company has developed and grown over the last 22 years. I can say with conviction that Maschinenbau Kaltenbach is a really cool company and I am proud to be part of this great team!
